Lue Rd - New Dwelling // Mudgee NSW

Lue Road Residence is contemporary farmhouse that challenges the traditional model of the rural homestead while responding to and respecting the historically and culturally significant suite of heritage buildings within the greater locality. The new dwelling draws heavily from the existing, heritage buildings, the history of the area and our client’s personal connection to the locality, while also incorporating a contemporary use of diagramming to facilitate a personal client response that is expressed in planning and detailing through a tracing diagram.

The new dwelling is heavily influenced by creating an appropriate climatic response in order to respond to the cold winters and hot summers of the local climate, while still respecting the functional, working nature of the horse and cattle property in which it is located.
